They were in common in several groups together, like Otis Williams & the Siberians, the El Domingoes, and The Distants, before forming The Elgins in 1960.

Elbridge Bryant – milkman

Initial years for the Temptation band was really tough, during the first two years with Motown, The Temptations only had one charting single called “Dream Come True”, which reached 22nd on the R&B charts. Even though “Dream Come True” did well on the R&B charts but couldn’t make it to U.S. Billboard Hot 100 pop singles chart.

The band did not lose hope, but it shattered them after constant failures as the same thing happened with their other six singles released during that time, they still had fan followings and die hard fans who cheered them.

But Elbridge Bryant was upset over the fact that the band lacked national success, and this constant thought was coming in between his career as he started preferring a day job as milkman over constantly performing and recording with the group.

Elbridge Bryant and Paul fight

Elbridge Bryant’s behavior became volatile, and he struggled with alcohol. Due to this he couldn’t control his anger and an intense fight between Bryant and Paul broke where Bryant crossed all his limits and humanity, he smashed a beer bottle across Paul’s face. But Paul was mature enough to let go of the situation and didn’t fire Elbridge Bryant. But it seems like he didn’t really change and continued to be uncooperative as he did again during Motown’s Christmas party, but this time Bryant was fired from the group. But it didn’t hamper much of their growth as they were able to bounce back and find a new member named David Ruffin and recorded their first Top 20 pop hit, “The Way You Do the Things You Do.”

Elbridge Bryant – The Premiers

Elbridge Bryant was fired from the Temptations after misbehaving with Paul, but he didn’t put a stop to his career and joined other singing groups in Detroit, like The Premiers, at Premiers he found his former bandmate Pee Wee Crawford.

Elbridge Bryant was also seen at The Dramatics Summit on August 23, 1972.he worked his ass off to achieve and made his name in the industry, but destiny had other plans, and he couldn’t make up to his 50s to witness his grandchildren’s. it his rightly said “zindagi hamein kabhi bhi badshah nahi banne deti , hamesha fakeer hi rakhti hai kisi na kisi cheez ke liye tarasta hua”(life never let us become kings, it always keeps us as beggars, always longing for something or the other).

Elbridge Bryant cause of death

Elbridge Bryant who became a sensation in the music industry couldn’t live anymore due to his health issues, he was diagnosed with liver cirrhosis on October 26 1975, even before his death he was actively participating in other local groups.

Elbridge Bryant was too young to be buried and passed away at the age of 36 in Flagler County, Florida.

While reading an article I felt impromptu plans are not always happy sometimes it comes as a shock.
