Antone Lee Tavares had this disco vibe, even though they were rooted in R&B. Their appearance on the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack in 1977 gave disco vibes, which was even surprising for fans. They recorded the Bee Gees song “More Than a Woman” which ended up being a hit for them on the Pop Top 40 charts. Antone Lee Tavares and his team made a successful hit in the industry which even helped them to win prestigious grammy.

Antone Lee Tavares switched things up and moved away from the disco sound. Antone Lee Tavares made a switch to RCA in early 1980s and had one last big hit with the beautiful ballad “A Penny for Your Thoughts,” which even earned them a Grammy nomination in 1982.
